Color Home Care
All of my recommended products are below that I have personally tried and loved! If you have any other questions let me know and I will be happy to answer them.

Washing Hair
Always use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. This will prevent colors and toners from fading prematurely. Using drugstore shampoos can cause a buildup on the hair causing it to feel greasy quicker. Using lukewarm water when washing will also prevent color fading. Another important step after washing is to use a mask once a week to seal the cuticle.
Purple/Blue Shampoo or Masks
Purple shampoo is meant for blondes or colors that turn yellow while blue shampoo is meant for brondes or hair that turns orange. Only use these pigmented shampoos once every two weeks. If used more frequently, this can cause the hair to appear darker/dull and makes it hard to achieve an even color.
Heat Styling
Always blow dry the scalp, if possible, to prevent moisture buildup. Use a proper heat protectant before blow-drying/heat styling and never go to bed with wet hair as this could cause it to mold. Hot tools should be turned down to 350 degrees or below. Heat styling with a temperature higher than 350 degrees can cause color fading and damage to the hair.
Oiling
Hair should be oiled after blow-drying to seal the cuticle down. This can also be done after heat styling to lock in moisture and prevent tangling.
Summer Care
Avoid sunscreens with Avobenzone and Octocrylene if you have blonde hair as this can cause your hair to turn pink. Before getting in the pool always wet the hair with tap water, spray a leave in conditioner and brush it through to avoid your hair turning green in the pool water from the chemicals.
Brushing/Regular Trims
Brush the hair starting at the ends and working your way up to the scalp. Be gentle when brushing wet hair as this can cause damage if you are not careful. Always get regular trims at 8-12 weeks to prevent splitting.
Night Time Routine
Wear your hair in a loose braid and sleep on a silk pillowcase to prevent tangling and avoid getting split ends.
